I am a coastal groundwater hydrologist focused on understanding how climate change is reshaping coastal ecosystems, from temperate salt marshes to polar tundra. My research aims to improve projections of future coastal ecosystem function and carbon storage by uncovering how shifts in hydrology affect the movement, processing, and preservation of carbon at the land-ocean interface. I combine field observations with numerical modeling to capture these complex systems across both space and time.
Beyond research, I’m happiest outdoors—hiking, running, swimming, and paddling whenever I can. I love dogs – although I don’t have one myself – and can frequently be found petting other people’s dogs at parks, or anywhere really. When I’m not outdoors or petting dogs, you’ll find me taste-testing my way through Boston’s scone scene.
